Within an assigned territory, the Education Consultant will successfully prospect for new K-12 client opportunities. This includes cultivating and prospecting to build relationships with parent groups, teachers, school district leaders, and other targeted clients. A key aspect of this role is having in-depth knowledge of the region, including local districts, private/charter schools, and all administered curriculum: academic classes, common core alignment, state tests, as well as test-prep options. ConnectPrep provides academic, test prep, and college consulting services. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic team member who is creative, connected to the community, and ideally has both a teaching and a sales background. The role requires skill in developing and executing a winning sales strategy to prospective clients and networking by demonstrating ConnectPrep's unique value proposition and solutions. Willingness to travel within the assigned territory is essential.

Requirements

  • In-depth teaching experience
  • 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in the K-12 market
  • Great communication, presentation, and writing skills
  • Experience building relationships, managing pipelines and closing deals with school partners, clients, and other contacts
  • Established relationships with high level decision makers (i.e., Superintendents, CIO’s, Principles, PTA reps, School Counselors, etc…) in local school regions with successful track record
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques
  • Proficient with using technology, CRM platforms (Salesforce, Hootsuite,etc…)
  • A flexible schedule
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect for new K-12 client opportunities within an assigned territory.
  • Cultivate and build relationships with parent groups, teachers, school district leaders, and other targeted clients.
  • Develop and execute a winning sales strategy to prospective clients.
  • Network effectively to demonstrate ConnectPrep's unique value proposition and solutions.
  • Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets.
  • Identify new client leads, sell educational services, and meet and exceed quarterly milestones.
  • Attend conferences, speaking events, and trade shows.
  • Manage pipelines and close deals with school partners, clients, and other contacts.
  • Travel within the assigned territory.
