About The Position

Schwan’s Company is hiring a Regional Driver for their Kansas City, MO Depot. This role involves driving semi-trailers from master depots to internal shuttle locations, ensuring products are properly loaded and unloaded to box trucks, and meeting delivery windows. While the position typically returns to the master depot the same day, occasional overnights may be required due to supply demands. This is an opportunity to drive a consistent route with a consistent schedule.

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL and DOT-compliant medical certification required.
Minimum 2 years of relevant driving experience.
Knowledge of truck mechanics and basic maintenance.
Strong backing skills; able to use telematics systems and smartphones for E-Logs.
Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).
Physically able to sit for long periods, lift/push/pull up to 500 lbs, and work in all weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate semi-trailers between shuttle/warehouse locations; position for loading/unloading.
Load/unload products using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
Inspect and maintain material handling equipment; keep trucks and equipment clean.
Verify trailer contents and paperwork using handheld/computer systems.
Complete daily DVIR and logs; report and resolve any safety issues.
Maintain a Daily Drivers Log and trip records in compliance of all DOT, FMCSA, and company regulations and requirements.
Comply with all company safety policies. Perform other yard duties and trips as assigned.
