Regional Driver

Denali Water Solutions•Huntsville, AL

About The Position

Denali is hiring a full-time, salaried Regional Relief Driver (also described as a Lead Support Driver) to travel to various locations and cover regular route collection drivers during vacation, sick leave, or other business needs. Drivers are generally expected to remain within their assigned region, though occasional travel outside the region may be needed. The role involves collecting and transporting food waste on intra- and interstate routes with approximately 15 to 25 stops per day, following routes determined by the company. The position is safety-sensitive and requires attention to the employee’s safety and the safety of others. Travel is required, and start times are between midnight and 3 a.m. The driver operates manual- and automatic-transmission vehicles and related equipment, maintains vehicle and route documentation, and helps keep trucks, bins, and client locations clean. The job requires working outdoors in all weather conditions and handling food-waste and farm odors, as well as lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving heavy materials and totes. Denali describes itself as an organic recycling company that turns unused food and organics into resources. Its work supports keeping water clean, reducing landfill needs, improving soil fertility, helping farmers become more resilient, and reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
