About The Position

The Regional Director will be responsible for leading the successful growth of the Eastern Pennsylvania region, including the Philadelphia Area, by identifying opportunities and facilitating solutions. This role involves managing time effectively between business development, project planning, project execution, and team engagement. The Regional Director will execute company processes, develop plans for smart regional growth, and manage the region's revenue, profit, and awards. They will also analyze regional P&L statements for business planning and provide leadership to ensure positive and profitable relationships with external parties such as clients, vendors, and subcontractors. The Regional Director will practice and live by the company's core values: Safety, Integrity, Accountability, Continuous Improvement, Collaboration, and Development. As a leader, they will promote and protect the company's values and vision through their conduct, decision-making, and team development. They will maintain and grow long-term client relationships, lead business development efforts, ensure operations meet safety standards, and manage financial aspects including contract negotiation, P&L analysis, budget planning, and performance metrics. The Regional Director will collaborate with the Regional Senior Vice President to grow the region and is responsible for annual goals related to revenue, profit, awards, and backlog. They will provide construction knowledge and problem-solving skills, contribute to project plans, and manage regional goals, budgets, and objectives. The role involves reviewing analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to ensure progress towards goals and making necessary course corrections. Compliance with all company financial controls and policies is essential. The Regional Director will work with the VP of Construction to ensure project teams execute all phases of construction effectively, aiming to create satisfied clients. They will also manage regional staffing, including employment, performance reviews, promotions, salary recommendations, transfers, and terminations, while fostering a team-oriented environment and ensuring professional development opportunities for team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, business administration or similar equivalent experience
  • 10-15 years of experience in management role required
  • OSHA 30 Certified
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel including overnight travel.
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed.
  • Minimum 15 years of construction leadership experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software systems, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Negotiating contracts, studying regional P&L statements, regional budget planning, and being aware of regional performance metrics and reacting accordingly.
  • Working with the Regional Senior Vice President to grow the region.
  • Being responsible for revenue, profit, awards, and backlog annual goals for the region.
  • Managing the entire business development effort within the region.
  • Providing general and/or specific construction knowledge and problem-solving skills.
  • Providing construction input and knowledge in the development of project plans including the purchasing of trade contracts.
  • Managing formulation, administration, and maintenance of regional goals, both short and long term along with budgets and any other regional objectives identified in the annual VTO.
  • Reviewing analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine progress toward goals and objectives; making course corrections as necessary.
  • Ensuring the region complies with all company financial controls and policies.
  • Working with the VP of Construction to drive project teams to execute all phases of construction in such a way that each client is a raving fan.
  • Ensuring the regional office is properly staffed; managing all team members regarding employment, performance ratings, reviews, promotions, salary recommendations, transfers, and terminations.
  • Evaluating and managing performance reviews for the team.
  • Seeking out input from others and providing feedback and coaching to manage individuals as well as the team.
  • Developing, implementing, and promoting a team-oriented environment through positive feedback.
  • Assuring that regional team members have professional development opportunities.
