About The Position

The Regional Director is a full-time, exempt, salaried supervisor role responsible for overseeing the operations of a large region within a state, with revenues of approximately $15 million. This position implements the strategic direction for operations, ensures alignment with state business goals, and oversees the quality of services provided, including implementing improvement initiatives. The role may also manage a support functions team such as HR, QA, Finance, health, and maintenance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and Master’s degree in Business or Human Services, or other education and experience as required by state.
• Seven to ten years of related experience with significant management experience in the human services industry.
• Licensure(s) as required by state.
• Other certification(s) and/or training(s) as required by the state and/or service line.
• Travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversees implementation of operations and individual support services for all service lines within a region.
• Provides leadership and direct supervision of Area Directors, Program Directors, and the regional support team.
• Implements Sevita employee practices, oversees regional safety and workers’ compensation, and approves involuntary terminations.
• Collaborates with Talent Acquisition on regional hiring needs and interviews Area Directors.
• Monitors new hire retention and coaches Area and Program Directors on training and onboarding.
• Provides orientation, training, and guidance to Area Directors and delivers training as a facilitator for state-wide initiatives.
• Responsible for the financial performance of the regional business unit, including reviewing financial statements, overseeing regional purchasing, interpreting P&Ls, and ensuring billing compliance.
• Oversees regional overtime, including ensuring requisitions are open and high utilizers are monitored.
• Safeguards individuals’ funds and ensures compliance within the region.
• Coordinates with marketing for regional collateral, social media, and virtual tours.
• Oversees relationships with state referral partners and approves referral decisions.
• Monitors census and referral dashboards, analyzes trends, and implements corrective actions to address census challenges.
• Implements the strategic direction for the region and executes strategic plans to achieve growth targets.
• Responds to local requests for proposals and identifies new start development initiatives and potential acquisition partners.
• Maintains and fosters relations with community, referral partners, funders, and local government authorities.
• Coordinates and encourages team participation in advocacy efforts.
• Maintains and fosters relations with individuals receiving services, families, and guardians, and implements enhancement plans based on satisfaction surveys.
• Oversees regional quality enhancement and implementation plans, ensuring Sevita standards, licensing requirements, and individual needs are met.
• Oversees regional incident management protocol, ensuring timely reporting and corrective action.
• Maintains licensing and compliance for regional services and supports, reviews correction orders, and approves regional compliance plans.
• Oversees development and implementation of regional health and safety programs.
• Directs supervision of nursing contracts and/or nurse supervisor as applicable.
• Directs regional maintenance program.
• Performs other duties and activities as required, including backfilling roles under supervision.
