About The Position

The Regional Director of Operations position is responsible for the operational excellence assigned restaurants in a specified geographical area. The RDO provides leadership and guidance to the restaurant management team and team members through promoting and maintaining all operating standards, processes and recipes of Pei Wei Asian Kitchen.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Computer literacy and financial management experience
• Experience in a multi-unit leadership role in the restaurant industry
• 2 years of previous multi-unit management experience in a restaurant, retail, hospitality or similar environment
• 2 years of Pei Wei General Manager experience (Internal Candidates)
• Business Acumen: Is knowledgeable of current trends and factors that affect the business, Can articulate the competitive advantages of the company, Understands key business drivers/metrics and how they drive results and strategies, Has a strong understanding of P&L and uses financial knowledge to improve profitability
• Continuous Improvement: Identifies and resolves root causes of execution failures rather than symptoms, Fosters an environment which motivates people to improve and challenge the status quo, Escalates ideas to improve existing processes and practices, Has an entrepreneurial mindset -- thinks about new paths of growth
• Managing Diversity: Creates a team diverse in characteristics and in thought, Relates well with a diverse group of people, Creates a culture that is inclusive and respectful of everyone, Immediately and appropriately addresses any behavior which is not consistent with company values

• 1 year General Manager experience outside of Pei Wei

Responsibilities

• Take a hands-on management approach with all team members and 6 to 9 restaurants to drive the vision, brand and direction of our Company
• Accountable for all functional areas within assigned region including full P&L, FOH/BOH Operations, Sales, Accounting and Human Resources
• Hire great talent for your locations
• Coach, train and support restaurant managers and team members on the service model, menu execution, systems and program implementation
• Set and uphold standards, goals and strategies
• Focus on problem solving and process improvement by leveraging restaurant management in each location
• Motivate and recognize restaurant managers and their teams for their accomplishments
