About The Position

The Regional Director of Clinical Services will provide clinical supervision and operational oversight for CRA Managers, CRAs, IPT/IFT clinicians, and Care Coordinator Managers across multiple state agencies. This role ensures clinical documentation standards are met within the EMR system, reviews and approves client assignments, and serves as a clinical escalation point for urgent client needs. The position also involves leading various meetings, monitoring caseload distribution, overseeing audits, approving clinical assessments, and tracking psychotherapy data. Additionally, the role focuses on staff development through supervision and training, and multidisciplinary collaboration in case reviews and service integration. A limited clinical caseload may be maintained as determined by the supervisor. The candidate must reside in CT, MA, ME, NH, or RI.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field is required.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of supervisory experience, particularly across multi-state territories.
  • Minimum 2 years in the substance use treatment field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EMR systems.
  • Must have active clinical license in good standing (LCAC, MLADC, LCSW, LPC/LMHC, LCPC, LMFT, or state equivalent).
  • Must be willing and able to obtain cross-state licensure.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) preferred.
  • Multi-state licensure is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical supervision and operational oversight for CRA Managers, CRAs, IPT/IFT clinicians, and Care Coordinator Managers across multiple state agencies.
  • Ensure clinical documentation standards are met within the EMR system, including timely and accurate entries by CRAs, IPT/IFTs, and Care Coordinators.
  • Review and approve client assignments, ensuring clinical appropriateness and timely onboarding of CRAs, IPT/IFTs, and Care Coordinators.
  • Serve as a clinical escalation point for urgent client needs, providing direct guidance and intervention when necessary.
  • Lead and facilitate weekly IHAT Psychotherapy meetings, CRA Department meetings, and monthly integrated Therapeutic Services meetings.
  • Monitor caseload distribution across departments to ensure balanced workloads and optimal care delivery.
  • Oversee CRA Manager audits of visit logs, mileage, and expenses; provide coverage when needed.
  • Review and approve clinical assessments including Substance Use Screenings, Extension of Services Requests, and Modality Change Inquiries.
  • Track and analyze IHAT Psychotherapy data, including session attendance and client engagement metrics.
  • Conduct monthly supervision meetings with all direct reports, fostering professional growth and clinical excellence.
  • Identify training needs and implement development plans for CRAs, IPT/IFTs, and Care Coordinators.
  • Support onboarding and ongoing education for field-based staff, ensuring alignment with clinical protocols and agency standards.
  • Actively participate in weekly Case Review and SWAT meetings for high-acuity clients.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless integration of therapeutic and recovery services.
  • Maintain a limited clinical caseload as determined by supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support regional and agency-wide initiatives.
