Centerpoint Health - Georgetown is an acute care hospital with 75-beds offering a broad range of inpatient, outpatient, intensive care, surgical, emergency and diagnostic services. This is an onsite leadership role. The position requires consistent onsite presence to effectively lead providers, practice administrators, and operational teams. Remote or hybrid arrangements are not available.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Applicable work experience may be used in lieu of education.
  • Ability to analyze complex healthcare delivery systems and drive enterprise-aligned solutions.
  • Skilled in translating strategy into measurable operational outcomes.
  • Strong command of budgeting, financial reporting, productivity analysis, and revenue optimization.
  • Ability to interpret data dashboards, market trends, and performance metrics to guide decision-making.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence senior leaders, providers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Skilled in navigating complex organizational dynamics and sensitive discussions.
  • Exercises high-level judgment impacting regional operations and financial performance.
  • Makes informed, timely decisions within ambiguous or evolving environments.
  • Leads large-scale initiatives including operational transformation, technology implementation, and growth strategies.
  • Manages multiple high-impact projects simultaneously with disciplined execution.
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive leadership experience within a medical group environment
  • Demonstrated experience in high-level strategic planning and execution
  • Strong background in medical group operations
  • Experience with provider contracting and provider recruitment
  • Minimum overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement regional strategic plans that advance ambulatory growth, market share, provider network development, and service line expansion.
  • Align medical group operations with system-wide clinical, financial, and population health strategies.
  • Partner with executive leadership to evaluate growth opportunities, acquisitions, and practice optimization initiatives.
  • Provide executive oversight of multi-site ambulatory operations, ensuring performance across patient access, throughput, quality, patient satisfaction, and financial outcomes.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational efficiency, provider productivity, and service excellence.
  • Lead continuous process improvement initiatives to standardize workflows and improve scalability across practices.
  • Direct regional budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance management.
  • Ensure disciplined expense management while optimizing revenue cycle performance and provider productivity.
  • Hold practice leadership accountable for financial and operational targets.
  • Lead workforce strategy, including provider recruitment, onboarding, retention, and succession planning.
  • Oversee provider contracting initiatives in collaboration with legal and executive leadership.
  • Cultivate a high-performance culture grounded in accountability, engagement, and professional development.
  • Provide executive coaching and leadership development for practice administrators and operational leaders.
  • Ensure strict adherence to healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and HIPAA requirements.
  • Direct internal and external audit processes to maintain regulatory and operational integrity.
  • Mitigate operational risk while maintaining ethical and legal standards across all locations.
  • Serve as a strategic liaison between ambulatory services and hospital leadership, revenue cycle, finance, IT, and clinical service lines.
  • Ensure ambulatory services remain integrated within the broader continuum of care and support coordinated patient transitions.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Provide direct executive oversight of practice administrators and operational leadership across multiple sites.
  • Establish performance expectations and accountability frameworks.
  • Lead hiring, termination, performance management, professional development, and corrective action processes.
  • Ensure consistent quality standards and operational excellence across all practices within the region.
