Mississippi Votes is an intergenerational, youth-centered civic engagement organization committed to building a transformative culture of democracy in Mississippi. We do this through voter education, advocacy, leadership development, and place-based grassroots organizing led by young people. Our work is rooted in the belief that communities most affected by policy should lead the process of shaping it, and that young people are critical to building an equitable and just future in Mississippi. The Regional Coordinator is the lead point of coordination, leadership, and accountability for Mississippi Votes’ programming, field operations, and regional presence in an assigned area of the state. This role requires both strategic and operational capacity: the Regional Coordinator co-develops the regional field plan aligned with statewide goals, supervises field and youth organizing staff, manages the regional office, and maintains strong community relationships across the region. This position is responsible for translating statewide field strategy into local execution, setting and tracking regional field targets, making data-informed decisions, and ensuring that voter registration, civic education, election protection, and turnout work are successfully implemented. The Regional Coordinator reports to and works closely with the Field Director. The Regional Coordinator works with fellow Regional Coordinators to build, test, evaluate, and strengthen Mississippi Votes’ statewide field model.
