About The Position

As a member of the Finance team, the Regional Controller ensures reported plant results comply with generally accepted accounting principles. The role also supports improved financial performance by working closely with Plant Management, Operations, Product Line Management, and Sales. The position is responsible for financial reporting and P&L activities across multiple Berry plants, budgeting, capital planning, compliance, forecasting, and identifying opportunities to increase sales and reduce costs.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience.
Understanding of manufacturing costing, inventory, and data processing.
Prior experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
Understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley as it relates to manufacturing accounting.
Ability to build and maintain excellent rapport with management staff at each facility.
Ability to travel as needed.

Nice To Haves

Strong understanding of manufacturing operations.
Experience with JD Edwards ERP systems.

Responsibilities

Manage plant financial reporting and P&L responsibilities for multiple Berry plants.
Work with Plant Managers and the Vice President of Operations to identify and measure opportunities to improve business profitability.
Identify and execute opportunities to increase sales and reduce costs to improve financial performance.
Ensure facilities comply with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
Manage the annual budget process.
Plan capital projects for plant maintenance and cost reduction.
Understand and implement best practices.
Complete monthly financial reporting requirements.
Provide accurate monthly financial forecasts.
