About The Position

Kimley-Horn is seeking a Regional Contract Attorney to join its Raleigh, North Carolina office. This is not a remote position. The role coordinates regional contract review activities and supports professional staff across offices by managing contract flow, providing training, and helping resolve complex contract issues. The attorney reviews and negotiates a significant number of contracts for public and private sector clients, and partners with project managers and other staff to provide clear advice and resolve contracting needs. The role also coordinates with the General Counsel on individual matters and the overall quality of contract reviews.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a related role.
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Relevant experience reviewing and resolving contracts.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented team player who can contribute to a positive work environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

• Experience related to the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry.
• Knowledge of AEC private and public sector contracts.
• Prior experience in the AEC industry.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate contract reviewers, manage the flow of contracts, provide training, and help resolve complex contract issues.
• Review and negotiate contracts for public and private sector clients, and help resolve related issues.
• Work with professional staff across offices to address contracting needs, ensure appropriate resources are available, and address specific problem areas.
• Organize and manage contract activities to support high-quality reviews, provide project managers with clear advice on next steps, and partner with them to resolve issues.
• Coordinate with the General Counsel on individual issues and the overall quality of contract reviews.
