About The Position

Siegfried Rivera is seeking an experienced Contract Attorney to handle a wide variety of complex construction and development matters for sophisticated clients. The role focuses on drafting, reviewing, revising, and negotiating construction contracts and related agreements, while identifying legal and business risks and developing practical solutions that align with client objectives. The attorney will work closely with experienced attorneys and clients on negotiations, contract interpretation, and project-related issues. The position also involves legal research and preparing correspondence, memoranda, and other legal documents. The successful candidate will independently manage assignments and competing deadlines, provide responsive and practical legal advice, and build strong client relationships. The role offers opportunities to develop legal skills, substantive expertise, and long-term client relationships.

Requirements

J.D. from an accredited law school.
Active membership in good standing with The Florida Bar.
At least five years of relevant legal experience.
Significant contract drafting and negotiation experience.
Excellent writing, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Proactive and motivated, with comfort taking responsibility for matters.
Strong interest in professional growth and developing client relationships.

Nice To Haves

Construction experience is strongly preferred.
Knowledge of construction, community association, construction lien, and surety law.

Responsibilities

Draft, review, revise, and negotiate construction contracts and related agreements across a broad range of projects.
Identify legal and business risks and develop practical solutions consistent with client objectives.
Work directly with attorneys and clients on contract negotiations, interpretation, and project-related issues.
Conduct legal research and prepare correspondence, memoranda, and other legal documents.
