About The Position

Kimley-Horn is seeking a Regional Contract Attorney to join its Fort Myers, Florida office. This is an onsite, non-remote position. The attorney will coordinate contract-review activities across offices, oversee the flow of contracts, provide training, and help resolve complex contracting issues. The role includes reviewing and negotiating a significant volume of contracts for public and private sector clients, partnering with professional staff to address contracting needs, and coordinating with the General Counsel on individual matters and the quality of contract reviews.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a related role.
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Relevant experience reviewing and resolving contracts.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented team player who can contribute to a positive work environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

• Experience related to the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry.
• Knowledge of AEC private and public sector contracts.
• Prior experience in the AEC industry.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate contract reviewers, manage the flow of contracts, provide training, and help resolve complex contract issues.
• Review, negotiate, and help resolve a significant number of contracts for public and private sector clients.
• Work with professional staff across offices to address contracting needs, ensure appropriate resources are available, and address specific problem areas.
• Organize and manage contract activities to produce high-quality reviews, provide clear advice to project managers, and partner to resolve issues.
• Coordinate with the General Counsel on individual issues and the overall quality of contract reviews.
