About The Position

WinnCompanies is looking for a Regional Compliance Coordinator to join their team. This role will support multiple properties totaling up to 1,600 units throughout Texas. The primary responsibility is to lead efforts in completing initial, interim, and annual Tax Credit and other affordable housing program certifications/recertifications for assigned properties. These tasks can occur during both initial lease-ups and stabilized operations. The position is remote, but the ideal candidate must reside in Texas. The pay range for this role is $33.70-$42.13 per hour.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of relevant property management experience.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in compliance with file reviews.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of Low Income Housing Tax Credit and Project Based Section 8 program experience.
  • A current vehicle license in good standing and meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy.
  • 25% travel required throughout assigned region.
  • Experience with computer systems, particularly Microsoft.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and tasks.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people and personalities.

Responsibilities

  • Review initial, interim and annual recertification files.
  • Ensure file reviews are accurate and meet company standards for volume per day.
  • Provide written reviews of files with clear instructions for site staff to complete corrections for timely approval.
  • Ensure all information is accurate and entered in the Property Management Software.
  • Comply with company policies regarding the proper treatment of applicant and residents' personal/private information and maintaining such records in accordance with local, state and/or federal law.
  • Ensure that files comply with the regulations of all funding/regulatory agencies, such as HUD and IRS.
  • Perform special assignments as necessary.
