About The Position

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join the Italian Communications team as a Regional Communication Specialist, supporting the development and execution of strategies that increase awareness and strengthen Lush’s presence in Rome. Reporting to the PR & Communication Manager, you will play a key role in elevating local brand perception, with a strong focus on positioning the Via del Corso flagship store as a cultural and experiential hub within the brand ecosystem. You will bring Lush values to life through events, collaborations, and community activations, while driving local PR activity to secure meaningful coverage of our people, products, ethics, and purpose. As a brand that does not rely on traditional advertising, we communicate through storytelling and authentic engagement; in this role, you will work closely with local teams to respond quickly to cultural moments, join relevant conversations, and create timely, creative content that adds real value. You will build and nurture relationships with key media, creators, and cultural voices across sectors such as beauty, lifestyle, arts, music, innovation, and sustainability, turning them into long-term brand advocates. You will also design and deliver a consistent programme of in-store events, host press and creators at the flagship store, and develop content opportunities rooted in real experiences, strengthening the store’s position as a leading cultural destination in Rome. Requirements

  • 1 to 2 years’ experience in PR, communications, or marketing (agency or brand side).
  • Based in Rome with strong knowledge of the local media, cultural, and creator landscape.
  • A confident storyteller with excellent writing and copy editing skills.
  • Strong passion for culture, events, and experiential marketing.
  • A proactive mindset, eager to learn and well connected to local city life and cultural activity.
  • Creativity and confidence to challenge traditional communication approaches.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, reactive environment.
  • Strong planning skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Fluent Italian (native level) and excellent English (written and spoken).
  • Degree in Communication, Humanities, or related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Genuine passion for ethical brands and Lush values.
  • A collaborative team player with a positive, energetic attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with Rome based and regional journalists (TV, radio, print, online).
  • Develop strong networks across local and regional digital publications.
  • Support the team to work with regional storytelling angles and proactive pitching.
  • Identify and activate local PR opportunities linked to cultural moments, events, and campaigns.
  • Represent Lush at media events, appointments, and community meetings.
  • Develop a program of in store events and activations at Via del Corso (priority focus), in collaboration with central teams and under the PR & Communication Manager supervision.
  • Support the positioning of the flagship store as a key brand and cultural destination.
  • From January 2027, develop regional partnerships and event opportunities across Central and Southern Italy.
  • Contribute to local marketing initiatives aimed at increasing footfall and brand engagement.
  • Support Lush Italy PR specialist with local creators management across Rome and the Central Southern region.
  • Support product seeding, one to one meetings, and event invitations for local talent.
  • Help grow and activate a broader local community of customers, creators, media, and brand advocates.
  • Collaborate closely with the Communications team on creative development and execution.
  • Monitor media coverage, UGC listening, and audience engagement to optimise content performance.
  • Support reporting on PR and marketing activity, evaluating impact on brand awareness and business results.
