About The Position

This is a commercial ownership role within the Commercial Performance team, reporting to the Head of Commercial Performance. It is not a traditional finance position. As an APAC P&L Owner, you will be responsible for the financial performance of the region and act as the commercial architect. You will collaborate with Marketing and BD to set the commercial agenda, mobilize functions, and remove roadblocks. You will be the primary commercial voice for the region, driving senior peer engagement and managing internal stakeholders to translate customer and market insights into strategy and execution. This is a new function at Zepz, and the role will involve defining its operations and building the playbook.

Requirements

  • A proven track record of managing a P&L in a high-growth environment (fintech, payments, or adjacent preferred).
  • Data-literate and comfortable driving high-stakes conversations with Marketing, BD, and Insights; ability to translate data into clear decisions, not just observations.
  • Acts more like a Country Manager than an analyst; drives results rather than just coordinating.

Nice To Haves

  • Deep cultural or economic understanding of markets such as the Philippines, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, or other high-volume corridors.
  • Experience navigating the licensing or compliance landscape of international money transfers.
  • Previously built the reporting frameworks or 'operating rhythms' for a regional commercial team.
  • Fluency in a primary language within your assigned region.
  • Practical experience using AI tools in a professional context (e.g., to connect information, draft content, build frameworks, or create insights from data).
  • Prior experience using Claude (Anthropic).

Responsibilities

  • Explicit budget and full P&L accountability for the APAC region, including revenue, CAC, new customers, unit economics, customer lifetime value, and other relevant trading metrics.
  • Defining monthly corridor targets and the investment envelope needed to achieve them.
  • Briefing Marketing on regional needs and supporting profitable growth.
  • Partnering with Business Development on strategies for new opportunities and risk mitigation.
  • Partnering with Data Insights to generate hypotheses, interpret performance, and build/pivot strategies based on corridor analysis.
  • Building business cases for key initiatives and influencing cross-functional prioritization through customer-centric, impact-driven frameworks, including building financial models.

Benefits

  • Unlimited annual leave
  • Great healthcare benefits
  • Employee discounts
