About The Position

The Regional Clinical Manager is responsible for the day-to-day clinical and operational management of assigned behavioral health programs within a designated region. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and patient-centered services while supporting staff development, clinical excellence, operational effectiveness, and regulatory compliance. The Regional Clinical Manager serves as a key liaison between site leadership and regional leadership to ensure consistent implementation of organizational standards and achievement of performance goals. Work is performed with considerable independence within established regulations, policies, and procedures. Frequent travel between assigned sites may be required. May require on-call availability for operational or clinical issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Health, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Clinical licensure REQUIRED (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent)
  • 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in behavioral health or healthcare operations.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Experience managing clinical staff, programs, and operational processes.
  • Experience utilizing EHR systems, quality metrics, and performance reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated success in improving clinical outcomes and operational performance
  • Experience with and knowledge of business technology computer systems (EHR, HRIS, etc.).
  • Related certifications (compliance, quality, administration, etc.)
  • Ability to lead a team and hold staff accountable
  • Ability to manage crisis situations calmly and effectively
  • Ability to manage crisis situations effectively and professionally.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish positive working relationships with staff, clients, families, and community partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and implement improvement strategies
  • Ability to manage business technology and computers operating systems, including Microsoft Office Suites, HRIS and EHR Systems, and KPI dashboards and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight for assigned behavioral health programs and service lines.
  • Monitor clinical operations to ensure quality, safety, efficiency, and consistency of care delivery.
  • Support implementation of evidence-based practices and program initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to clinical documentation standards and treatment protocols.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Supervisors, Program Directors, and Medical Providers to address operational and clinical needs.
  • Monitor key clinical and operational performance indicators.
  • Identify performance trends and implement corrective action plans when necessary.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and outcome measurement activities.
  • Review client satisfaction data and assist in developing improvement strategies.
  • Promote continuous improvement and accountability across assigned programs.
  • Supervise, coach, and support clinical operational staff.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention efforts.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support employee development plans.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive work environment.
  • Provide guidance related to clinical practice, client care, and operational processes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and accrediting body requirements.
  • Participate in audits, accreditation activities, and regulatory inspections.
  • Monitor program adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Identify potential compliance risks and implement corrective actions.
  • Support incident review, investigation, and follow-up activities.
  • Assist in managing program budgets and resource allocation.
  • Support workforce planning and coverage strategies.
  • Collaborate with leadership to achieve clinical, operational and financial goals.
  • Maintain positive relationships with community partners, referral sources, and healthcare providers.
  • Participate in regional meetings and interdisciplinary committees.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources, Finance, Quality, Compliance, and other support departments.
  • Support community outreach and business development activities as assigned.
