About The Position
Benchmark Companies, a mulch manufacturing company based in Christiana, Tennessee, is hiring full-time Class A CDL drivers. Drivers load mulch products at production facilities and deliver finished goods to customers using live-floor semi trailers. The role is predominantly regional, with drivers typically spending two to three nights per week away from home and returning home every weekend. Per diem is provided for nights spent away from home. Drivers interact with customers and dispatch to meet delivery schedules and requirements.
Requirements
- Current Class A CDL.
- Submit to a driving record check.
Nice To Haves
- Three years of experience preferred.
- Ability to operate rubber tire loaders and excavators is a plus.
- Previous heavy equipment experience is beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Operate Class A CDL trucks with walking-floor trailers.
- Self-load trailers at multiple locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Report repair issues to dispatch and shop personnel.
- Operate the vehicle in all weather conditions.
- Interact with customers and dispatch to meet delivery schedules and requirements.
