CDL-A Regional Flatbed Driver
About The Position
Summerford Truck Line is a family-owned flatbed company based in Ashford, Alabama, with over 98 years and four generations in the business. We've grown into a nationally recognized carrier, but we still run on small-company values: safety, respect, and doing things the right way. This position is for a Regional Class A CDL Flatbed Driver (Company W2). The freight is primarily flatbed, with a mix of 50% drop & hook and 50% live load-unload. Typical weekly miles range from 2,500-3,000. Drivers are guaranteed home every weekend. Primary lanes are in the Southeast and surrounding regional markets. Trucks are mostly automatic transmissions and equipped with refrigerators, satellite radio, APUs, and no driver-facing cameras.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- At least 24 months of recent tractor-trailer experience.
- Generally clean MVR: no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
- Willingness to handle tarping.

Responsibilities
- Drive a Class A CDL flatbed truck.
- Handle flatbed freight, including 50% drop & hook and 50% live load-unload.
- Manage tarping duties, which are more frequent in winter.
- Ensure a strong safety record and professional attitude.
