Regional CDL A Driver - Greensboro
About The Position
PrimeSource Building Products is seeking qualified Class A CDL drivers to join its logistics team. The company offers diverse driving opportunities, including local and regional overnight trips across the country. Drivers will operate a modern fleet of late model, full-service lease tractors and pull a variety of trailers such as flatbeds, dry vans, doubles, and curtain side trailers. A key aspect of the role involves ensuring cargo safety by strapping and securing materials, particularly for flatbeds and curtain side trailers. Requirements
- Read, speak, and write English
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be over 21 years of age
- Minimum two (2) years of driving experience in a Class A vehicle
- Valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate by our preferred network of clinics (Cards issued within 45 days are subject to approval)
- Willingness to work overtime as needed and some weekends
Responsibilities
- Strapping and securing the cargo to prevent damage and ensure safe transit for flatbeds and curtain side trailers
- Load and unload trucks/trailers as required
- Ensure that all materials are properly secured for transit
- Complete pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensure that required preventive maintenance is completed
- Follow all DOT requirements as well as company policies and procedures
