About The Position

Gordon Food Service is hiring a Regional CDL A Delivery Driver to deliver food products to regional chain restaurants while building relationships with customers. Routes are regional and involve night shifts, with drivers home most nights and one or two overnight stays each week. Overnight stays are in hotels paid for by Gordon Food Service. Drivers unload cases weighing up to 100 pounds and use a ramp and two-wheeler during their shifts. Newly licensed drivers are encouraged to apply. The schedule is a four-day work week, Monday through Saturday, with variable start times and one- and two-day routes. Pay includes a guaranteed minimum of $1,250 per week, daily base pay, and compensation for each mile driven, stop made, and case delivered. The role includes weekly pay and a guaranteed route.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Have a Class A CDL license at hire.
Have 1–2 years of driving experience.
Be able to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds.
Be able to read, write, and communicate in English to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits and updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions.
Successfully pass a drug test, including assessment for marijuana use, and a background check.
Have a clean driving record as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards.
Be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent.
