Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in management, marketing, or a related field.
  • 7 years of demonstrated experience in Medical Device sales.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Proven track record of sales success.
  • Advanced presentation and marketing skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to effectively communicate both internally and externally.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue growth and meet corporate goals.
  • Manage, direct, motivate, and develop a team of Territory Managers within a specified sales region.
  • Develop and execute a regional business plan to grow new business and maintain existing business, meeting or exceeding annual sales quotas.
  • Develop creative value propositions that balance clinical and economic factors for key accounts.
  • Manage pertinent local/regional IDNs in coordination with Corporate Account Managers.
  • Maintain high visibility and contact with Territory Managers, providing coaching, training, direction, supervision, advice, counsel, and guidance.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one field sales training with each Territory Manager, documenting progress and informing the Area Sales Director.
  • Develop and implement an ongoing performance management plan to elevate sales performance and address underperforming TMs.
  • Provide regional pricing discipline for key account deals and contracts.
  • Implement regional team selling strategies to exceed annual sales targets.
  • Implement a comprehensive sales process to achieve or overachieve assigned sales targets.
  • Develop relationships with physician and hospital decision-makers within key accounts.
  • Maintain and leverage knowledge of products, competitors, and procedures in Peripheral Vascular, Vascular Access, and Oncology disease states.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to suggest improvements in product design, pricing, promotion, or policy.
  • Prepare annual sales forecasts for the region and participate in determining regional market potential and sales expense estimates.
  • Maintain a pipeline of potential candidates and hire qualified sales professionals in a timely manner.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of company equipment within the assigned region.
  • Assist sales support/marketing staff with activities such as sales promotions, training, and market research.
  • Maintain contact with Franchise Leaders and Product Managers, disseminating pertinent information to TMs.
  • Review weekly call and sales reports, forwarding relevant information to the Area Sales Director.
  • Manage operating expenses, including Travel & Entertainment and Samples, ensuring efficient team expense management.
  • Conduct and organize regional sales meetings as requested.
  • Continuously maintain a high level of industry and technical knowledge.
  • Promote good territory and time management practices.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training, appraising performance, and resolving problems.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
