Southern Glazer’s offers a competitive compensation package with expected first year total earnings between $60,000 - $70,000 / year. This salary range is an average range for this position. In determining a final offer, the company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills and experience and will make an offer appropriately. Overview The Regional Brand Activator maximizes the sale of supplier brands to the trade and consumer through effective regional execution via business development off and on trade. Additionally, this position will be responsible for managing relationships that permit the achievement of company and supplier objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five years of industry related sales experience within the distribution, hospitality or supplier community
  • Valid province driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain auto liability insurance by provincial laws
  • Comprehensive understanding of wine and spirits to include regions/varietals, product/food pairing techniques, basic production, and service
  • Ability to adapt and can assist a variety of internal customer groups and varying personality types
  • Must have strong negotiation skills; demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Ability to create and sell innovative ideas
  • Goal oriented, focused, and assertive individual who needs a little direction or supervision

Responsibilities

  • Develop a direct relationship with key players on trade (partners, sommeliers, managers, bartenders, etc.) and provide feedback and updates back to the brand
  • Plan marketing execution and branding objectives
  • Audit, classify, and prioritize key accounts, developing and leading a direct relationship with key on premise players
  • Implementation, execution, and follow-up of on trade activities and sales against the brand plan, including OP partnerships
  • Lead Events/experiences with final clients (no sampling)
  • Support and organize events and above-the-line activities
  • Training programs for partners and key players in on trade, in addition to supporting internal sales team for high value trainings (sommelier, bartenders, waiters, etc.)
  • Drive brand success via training, education, and experiences for Territory Managers, Sales Managers, Key Account Managers, etc.
  • Source “best in class” opportunities to support execution strategy (new business development opportunities with new accounts, collect and build client database)
  • Gather and analyze customer insights and competitors’ activities, from partner venues and any other relevant industry competitive activities
  • Collect and manage client contact database
  • Provide detailed tracking and execution reports of performance against agreed-to supplier objectives and requirements
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
