Job Summary The Branch Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, customer acquisition, and revenue performance across multiple retail bank branches. This role provides direct leadership to Branch Managers, ensuring consistent execution of sales strategies, exceptional customer experience, and full compliance with banking regulations and internal policies. The Branch Sales Manager partners closely with operations, risk, and product teams to align business objectives and build high-performing branch sales organizations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in retail banking or financial services.
  • 3+ years of multi-branch leadership or sales management experience.
  • Demonstrated success in driving sales growth, coaching leaders, and managing performance.
  • Strong understanding of retail banking products, sales processes, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience leading Branch Managers or equivalent leadership roles.
  • Proven ability to build and sustain high-performing sales cultures.
  • Experience managing change initiatives across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute sales strategies to achieve account growth, deposit targets, fee income, and overall revenue goals.
  • Translate corporate objectives into actionable branch-level plans.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including sales production, High Priority Customer Retention, cross-sell ratios, and customer growth.
  • Identify sales gaps and performance trends; implement corrective action plans to drive results.
  • Directly manage, coach, and develop Branch Managers to strengthen sales leadership capabilities and accountability.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, goal-setting sessions, and talent assessments.
  • Build a strong internal talent pipeline through succession planning, development plans, and consistent coaching rhythms.
  • Foster a performance-driven culture that emphasizes ethical sales practices and customer-centric behaviors.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional customer experience across all branches.
  • Promote relationship-based banking and deepen customer relationships through need-based sales conversations.
  • Support Branch Managers in developing community outreach, referral partnerships, and local market presence.
  • Communicate effectively across levels to align expectations, priorities, and outcomes.
  • Develop strong understanding of local markets, build relationships with community leaders, and represent the Bank through community development and outreach.
  • Maintain deep levels of knowledge on all Bank products and services.
  • Design and lead product training initiatives to ensure consistent knowledge, messaging, and adoption across the organization.
  • Act as the voice of the product by providing expert guidance and scalable training that drives alignment, proficiency, and performance.
  • Responsible for managing and maintaining compliance with branch operations, including training branch associates on changes to policies and procedures.
