About The Position

This role oversees the day-to-day operations of business offices across multiple long-term and short-term care facilities. The position involves leading and mentoring Business Office Managers (BOMs), managing accounts receivable, ensuring compliance with regulations, and coordinating with various teams to maintain efficient financial operations and excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business office management, preferably in a long-term care facility.
  • In-depth knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and third-party payer systems.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to train, guide, and motivate staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with clinical, administrative, and financial teams.
  • Proficiency in healthcare billing software, accounting systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel to each facility as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the business offices at multiple long-term, short-term facilities, ensuring compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations.
  • Lead and mentor Business Office Managers (BOM) at each facility, providing guidance on financial management, billing procedures, and collections.
  • Manage accounts receivable, including Medicaid/Medicare billing, private pay, and insurance claims, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Coordinate with facility administrators and clinical teams to ensure proper documentation and communication for billing purposes.
  • Develop and implement standardized processes across facilities to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance at each location, providing reports and recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist in audits, state inspections, and other regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison between the corporate office and facility administrators regarding business office matters.
  • Ensure customer service excellence for residents and their families in handling billing inquiries and payment issues.
