Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
  • Professional Engineer License or equivalent
  • 20+ years’ experience in specialized discipline including supervisory, project management, and business development
  • Demonstrated experience leading others
  • Project management and business development experience
  • Experience working with local clients at the state, county, and major municipality level
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-production environment
  • Capable of building successful team relationships with foundation of trust and respect, and maintaining positive co-worker relationships
  • Ability to motivate and inspire others
  • Demonstrate organized practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter with full ability to operate independently with substantial autonomy

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate strategic growth plan with office leaders and market and service line leaders
  • Establish and grow market presence in area through marketing and business development
  • Manage financial budget for practice and allocate resources accordingly
  • Lead and contribute to the production of proposals and projects
  • Serve as a technical expertise resource to project managers and technical staff
  • Establish resources staffing needs for the practice on a regional level
  • Interview and make recommendations for hiring staff for the practice
  • Lead and manage team members by providing leadership and continuous performance management (setting expectations, goals, feedback, 1:1 meeting, coaching) that supports the growth and development of team.
