About The Position

The Regional Academic Center (RAC) Coordinator, with oversight from the Regional Assistant Dean, Assistant Director of Clinical Education, and RAC Liaison, will coordinate the clinical educational experience for 3rd and 4th-year students at Burrell College of Health Sciences at the Regional Academic Center. This role involves administrative support for scheduling, evaluations, and working with preceptors, as well as participation in program-related recruitment activities. The position reports to the Assistant Director of Clinical Education and is non-exempt. The salary starts at $22.51/hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or three to five years of related experience, preferably in a healthcare and/or education setting.
  • Personal cell phone is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to organize information.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with absolute confidentiality.
  • Working knowledge of software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to make decisions independently or to escalate issues as needed.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

  • Preceptor recruitment, branding, and networking at relevant hospital and clinical entities.
  • Recruitment, record keeping, and reporting of preceptor relationships to the Office of Clinical Education.
  • Ensuring proper, current, and relevant credentialing documents are in place.
  • Coordinating and facilitating the completion of affiliation agreements.
  • Facilitating and proctoring student COMAT exams, including make-up exams.
  • Development of RAC Day at their respective campus.
  • Facilitating the setting up of the regional office for the Coordinator and Regional Assistant Dean.
  • Attending regularly scheduled team meetings.
  • Providing administrative support, such as answering telephones, assisting students, employees, and visitors, and resolving administrative problems and inquiries.
  • Scheduling and coordinating meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
  • Serving as a liaison with hospitals/clinics and the main Burrell College campus.
  • Collecting and analyzing data from multiple sources and preparing reports.
  • Contributing to the development of marketing materials and strategies and assisting in planning and developing program activities and outreach functions.
  • Providing advice to students on academic program policies, accessibility, and facilitating housing options.
  • Serving as a subject matter resource to other departments and representing the unit/department.
  • Developing and distributing third- and fourth-year schedules in cooperation with the Office of Clinical Education.
  • Overseeing and coordinating regional student rotations at the Regional Academic Center.
  • Managing the evaluation process of students, faculty, and rotations at the Regional Academic Center.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
