About The Position

This role is an entry-level position that serves as the first step in a career pathway designed for growth, potentially leading to a degree, promotion, and leadership opportunities. The company, Center for Social Dynamics (CSD), focuses on helping children with autism and other developmental needs through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). The Behavior Specialist will use play, games, and evidence-based strategies to help children build communication, social, and life skills. The role involves working with children in various environments, including their homes, CSD centers, and the community, following personalized plans developed by clinical leaders. It is a flexible, on-the-go role with no prior experience required, as comprehensive training and support will be provided. The position emphasizes making a difference in children's lives and supporting families by celebrating progress and milestones.

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or GED
  • 6+ months of experience in ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis)
  • Flexible availability (especially Mon–Fri afternoons/evenings + Saturdays)
  • Proof of vaccinations (MMR, Varicella)
  • Reliable transportation
  • Comfort working with diverse populations
  • Ability to frequently sit and stand; keeping pace with your client
  • Constant visual stimulation, including close vision, distance vision, reading, computer work
  • Constant sitting; frequent up and down out of chair
  • Constant use of telephone, speaking, listening
  • Constant document handling, use of copier and fax machine, filing
  • Frequent typing, use of computer
  • Occasional walking around building
  • Occasional bending, reaching, stooping, pulling
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, moving of items up to 20 pounds
  • Occasional walking to, bending to enter, sitting and using upper and lower limbs to drive car
