About The Position

The Region Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with the company’s dealers, dealer sales force, direct accounts, and end users. This role is crucial for achieving annual sales and performance goals. The selected individual will report to and collaborate with the Regional Sales Director to execute the region’s annual business plan.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or equivalent education.
  • A minimum of 5 years sales experience in the sanitary supply industry or in a related industry.
  • Demonstrated experience and accomplishments in dealer channel management and end-user sales/account management.
  • Strong work ethic and initiative in problem-solving and implementing corrective action plans.
  • Maturity as a business professional with necessary business acumen.
  • Strong selling skills and end-user account management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite applications, including Excel (pivot tables), PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce.com (planning, executing, managing pipeline, managing leads).
  • Effective time and territory management skills.
  • Solid problem-solving skills, including gap analyses, action plan development, and implementation.
  • Willingness to travel overnight as required.
  • Willingness and ability to transport company products for demonstrations.
  • Ability to conduct product seminars and presentations.
  • Ability to successfully pass a physical including lifting, standing for prolonged periods, and driving for safe periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate equipment, and provide installation and training.
  • Report a monthly itinerary and significant regional activity to the Regional Sales Director.
  • Provide timely and accurate reports on product performance, competitive intelligence, dealer activity, sales strategy development, new product development, dealer issues, customer service, technical service, and dealer profile updates.
  • Perform quarterly business reviews with dealers.
  • Conduct weekly sales forecasts.
  • Resolve sales, product service, and equipment-related issues, as well as dealer problems.
  • Travel within the sales region to maintain, develop, and grow business with customers, including dealers, national accounts, and end-users.
  • Direct and participate in developing, motivating, and training the dealer sales force.
  • Call on and develop existing and prospective dealers within the region.
  • Maintain a dealer prospect list and coordinate sales calls with the Regional Sales Director.
  • Maintain a customer database.
  • Integrate daily sales call activities into Salesforce.com.
  • Make daily sales calls on key end-users to drive new project starts and increase market share.
  • Track and manage new project starts via the Sales Pipeline in Salesforce.com.
  • Perform building surveys and product demonstrations.
  • Utilize all sales tools and resources to ensure successful project completion.
  • Focus on displacing competitive machine lines to improve market penetration and sales.
  • Develop a single-source relationship with the dealer.
  • Communicate product information to dealers.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with National Accounts.
  • Perform field tests in support of product management teams.
  • Forge long-lasting, profitable relationships with dealer partners.
