About The Position

The Region Director manages all facets of an assigned region with accountability for safety, customer experience, financial performance and expenses, operational efficiencies, as well as staff and asset management. Travels daily among area service areas to observe the work activities, inspect the facility and the operation, and to coach managers and employees on expected standards and behaviors. Key Characteristics: Ability to manage in a multi-unit setting, can train, inspire and motivate employees to function in an environment with minimal daily supervision, and is committed to world class safety and customer service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • Five-seven years in a management position is required
  • Valid driver’s license required

  • college degree strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Articulates a safety vision for his or her team.
  • Is responsible for all aspects of safety within the assigned region, including ensuring manager and employee compliance with all safety policies, procedures and programs, compliance with safety codes and policies.
  • Ensures employees within the assigned region have the training, tools, equipment and vehicles to comply with safety policies and procedures.
  • Makes customers a high priority; is committed to exceeding the needs of all customers.
  • Proactively identifies problems that negatively impact the customer’s experience.
  • Successfully leads the Region in the implementation of priority customer retention plans and visits.
  • Manages community relations activities including those involving regulatory agencies, officials and community leaders.
  • Monitors region performance reports, dashboard and utilization metrics and other monitoring tools to ensure an efficient, productive and profitable operation.
  • Conducts weekly productivity planner/service planner call with Delivery and Service Coordinators.
  • Plans, directs and manages staffing and development of managers and employees.
  • Ensures the professional appearance of AmeriGas facilities, equipment and personnel.
  • Consistently communicates and updates critical performance metrics for the Area and Region to each member of his/her team.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the P&L performance for the assigned areas.
  • Proactive involvement in purchasing activities and expenditures for the region.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely approvals for payroll and accounts payable submissions.
  • Manages pricing concessions and new pricing contract approvals.
