The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences’ Substance Abuse Treatment Programs (SATPs) build upon a harm-reduction framework to integrate addiction medications such as methadone and buprenorphine (Suboxone®) with patient-centered, state-of-the-art, supported care. The Dietitian will provide in-dept nutritional assessment and follow up for ambulatory SATP patients. Develop care plan for nutritional recommendations, which may include instructions on appropriate diet therapies to patients, including considerations for co-morbidities such as diabetes, obesity, etc. Actively participate as core team member in interdisciplinary coordinated patient care program and on committees for the development and revision of nutrition related policies and procedures. Act as a source of nutrition care expertise to MMC staff and associates. This is a part-time role.
