About The Position

Provide in-depth nutritional assessment and follow-up for patients at high nutritional risk. Develops care plan including discharge recommendations, which may include instructions on appropriate diet therapies to patients/family. Actively participates as a core team member in an interdisciplinary coordinated patient care program and on committees for the development and revision of nutrition-related policies and procedures. May assess patients to determine the level of care and implement care plans in patients of moderate or potential risk. Acts as a source of nutrition care expertise to MMC staff and associates.

Requirements

• Master's degree required for individuals who established eligibility for the registration examination effective on or after January 1, 2024.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nutrition or related field from an accredited college for those that established registry eligibility prior to January 1, 2024.
• Registered Dietitian (R.D.) status with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND): Registration Eligible status acceptable conditional on the taking and passing of the next AND qualifying examination for Registered Dietitians (within 3 months).
• Maintenance of continuing education requirements mandated by the AND
