About The Position
Culver Academies is a private boarding school seeking diverse talent to support its mission and enrich its learning environment. Located on 1,800 acres in Culver, Indiana, the school features a historic campus with beautiful Gothic buildings. The Refuse Worker plays a key role in maintaining the campus by managing garbage and recyclables.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Indiana Driver’s License with a good driving record
- Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all types of weather conditions
- Physically fit and able to lift 50+ pounds
- Well-disciplined
- Self-starter
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Responsibilities
- Drives the assigned route removing garbage and recyclables from various campus locations.
- Disposes of or recycles the garbage when delivered to the disposal site.
- Maintains awareness of environmentally safe ways to dispose of garbage and correct recycling procedures.
