About The Position
The Refuse Worker drives the assigned route removing garbage and recyclables from various campus locations. The employee is responsible for disposing of or recycling the garbage when they deliver it to the disposal site. The person in this position must be aware of environmentally safe ways to dispose of garbage as well as the correct way of recycling. On the job training will be provided.
Requirements
- High school diploma or a GED
- Valid Indiana Driver’s License with a good driving record
- Able to tolerate working outdoors in all types of weather conditions
- Physically fit and able to lift 50+ pounds
- Well disciplined
- A self-starter
