About The Position

Thermo King Northeast is hiring a full-time Refrigeration Technician at its Seekonk, Massachusetts location. The technician performs preventive maintenance, service inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on transport refrigeration units, auxiliary power units, and heater equipment. The role includes completing repair orders and parts usage forms, following technical and administrative processes, communicating with supervisors, team members, and customers, staying current on technical and regulatory requirements, and performing road service calls as required. The position offers $20.00–$45.00 per hour, paid factory training, certification reimbursements, and opportunities for advancement through a policy of promoting from within. The shop is described as modern, clean, bright, and well-heated, with flexible scheduling and generous paid time off. Uniforms, boots, and employee referral bonuses are also provided. The work requires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 pounds occasionally and to bend, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, twist, stand, walk, and work in and around vehicles for extended periods. Requirements

Experience in transport refrigeration equipment installation and/or repair.
Ability to install, diagnose, and repair refrigeration equipment.
Technical knowledge of refrigeration systems, components, materials, methods, and equipment sufficient to perform, prioritize, and complete job assignments.
Own and maintain the proper hand tools to perform job functions.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficiency with computer operation and usage.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 pounds occasionally.
Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, twist, stand, walk, and work in and around vehicles for extended periods.
Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop equipment.

Nice To Haves

Thermo King or Carrier Transicold experience is preferred.
Technical trade school education is a plus.
Having or being willing to earn EPA 608/609 refrigeration certifications is a big plus.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and service inspections on transport refrigeration units (TRUs) and auxiliary power units (APUs).
Diagnose and repair mobile refrigeration equipment, auxiliary power units, and heater equipment.
Follow established technical and administrative processes.
Complete repair orders and parts usage forms.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and customers.
Remain current on technical and regulatory requirements.
Perform road service calls as required.
