About The Position

The Refrigeration Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing refrigeration, HVAC, ice machine, and related mechanical systems throughout the resort. This position ensures all refrigeration equipment operates efficiently to support guest comfort, food safety, and daily resort operations. Responsibilities include responding to maintenance work orders in a timely manner, performing preventive maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC systems, diagnosing equipment issues, and maintaining accurate service records. The Refrigeration Technician will also assist with general engineering projects as needed and complete other duties assigned by the Chief Engineer.

Requirements

  • Previous hotel experience desired.
  • Experience with record keeping.
  • Strong office & computer skills required (Excel, word & outlook)
  • Provide legible communication and directions.
  • Compute basic mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers).
  • Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and follow up.
  • Ability to be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgement.
  • Ability to follow directions thoroughly.
  • Ability to understand guest’s service needs.
  • Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing refrigeration, HVAC, ice machine, and related mechanical systems throughout the resort.
  • Ensuring all refrigeration equipment operates efficiently to support guest comfort, food safety, and daily resort operations.
  • Responding to maintenance work orders in a timely manner.
  • Performing preventive maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC systems.
  • Diagnosing equipment issues.
  • Maintaining accurate service records.
  • Assisting with general engineering projects as needed.
  • Completing other duties assigned by the Chief Engineer.
