The AMS Group, part of Dover Food Retail, is seeking a Refrigeration Service Apprentice. Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred but not required
HVAC technical school completion certification preferred but not required
Basic mechanical background preferred
Good driving record and valid State Driver license
Strong work ethic, self-motivated and a professional attitude
Ability to perform the job in a safe manner
Compliance with OSHA safety guidelines and protocols is mandatory.

Nice To Haves

Certification from vocational school a PLUS!
Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

Learn to diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial ice machines, HVAC equipment, and Refrigeration systems.
Demonstrate use of power and hand tools.
Work on all types of HVAC and Refrigeration equipment, including electrical and energy management controllers, with Journeyman or higher lever technician until able to work on this equipment alone.
Ability to work on roof, outdoors, mechanical rooms, inside supermarkets, walk in coolers, and freezers, through all seasons of the year.
Completely fill out and submit all job required work orders, forms, and documents.
Adhere to all customer requirements, consistently log in and out of work order tracking system portals.
Ability to use laptop and smart phone.
Adhere to Hillphoenix safety program, policies, and procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, office administration, Journeymen, Supervisors, and Managers in person, by phone and through email.
