About The Position

Gateway Mechanical is seeking Journeyman & Apprentice Refrigeration Technicians in Manitoba. This role involves a mix of service calls and project installations, requiring technicians who can diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial HVACR systems. The company is the largest HVAC & Refrigeration service provider in Western Canada, handling over 40,000 service calls annually, and offers local crews backed by strong technical support. Technicians will be responsible for fixing broken systems, installing new equipment, and problem-solving complex issues. The role emphasizes taking ownership of projects, with rewards for safe, on-time, and on-budget completion. Candidates should be proactive, good communicators, safety-conscious, and know when to seek assistance.

Requirements

• Journeyman Cert (or indentured Apprentice)
• 2+ years experience
• Ability to handle on-call rotation without disappearing
• Valid Class 5 license + decent driving record

Nice To Haves

• Supermarket experience
• Gas ticket
• Safety certs (First Aid, WHMIS, CSTS, etc.)
• Fall Protection, AWP, H2S
