About The Position
The Refrigeration Maintenance position monitors and maintains refrigeration equipment, identifies defects, and documents maintenance needs and activities. The role requires following safety rules and procedures, maintaining records according to standard operating procedures, and participating in HAZMAT and confined-space training. The schedule is 7 A.M. to 7 P.M., four days per week, and the employee must be able to work Sundays. Weekend work, day or night shifts, and overtime may be required.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in refrigeration or industrial maintenance.
- Must pass a physical and a contingent background check.
- Ability to walk or stand for long periods.
- Good interpersonal skills and a good work and attendance record; responsible.
- Must have completed 90 days.
- Willingness to work weekends, days or nights, and overtime when required.
- Ability to follow instructions and work with little or no supervision.
- Ability to work in cold and hot temperatures and wet areas.
- Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting, push and pull heavy equipment, and climb and work on platforms.
- Ability to solve mechanical problems.
- Ability to read and write basic English.
Responsibilities
- Read and understand blueprints and schematics.
- Monitor and maintain refrigeration equipment.
- Prepare work orders for defects found.
- Maintain process safety management records.
- Keep records according to standard operating procedures.
- Participate in HAZMAT and confined-space training.
- Follow safety rules when operating machinery and follow procedure manuals.
