About The Position

The Refrigeration Maintenance role monitors and maintains refrigeration equipment, identifies defects, prepares work orders, and maintains process safety management records and other records according to standard operating procedures. The work schedule is 7 A.M. to 7 P.M., four days per week, and the employee must be able to work Sundays. Weekend work, day or night shifts, and overtime may be required. Operators must participate in HAZMAT and confined-space training.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in refrigeration or industrial maintenance.
• Must pass a physical examination and a background check.
• Ability to walk or stand for long periods.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Good work and attendance record; responsible.
• Must have completed 90 days.
• Willingness to work weekends, day or night shifts, and overtime when required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with little or no supervision.
• Ability to work in cold and hot temperatures and wet areas.
• Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting and push or pull heavy equipment.
• Ability to solve mechanical problems.
• Ability to climb and work on platforms.
• Ability to read and write basic English.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand blueprints and schematics.
• Monitor and maintain refrigeration equipment.
• Prepare work orders for defects found.
• Maintain process safety management records.
• Keep records according to standard operating procedures.
• Follow safety rules when operating machinery and follow procedure manuals.
• Participate in HAZMAT and confined-space training.
