About The Position
This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the refrigeration systems while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. General Mechanic positions may work in any department within Processing or Harvest at this beef processing facility.
Requirements
- Mechanically inclined
- 6 months ammonia refrigeration or boiler room experience
- 12 months experience of mechanical work (will be considered in lieu of refrigeration experience)
- Must take a tour before accepting a job offer
- Must complete the task after submitting an application to provide additional information to be considered for employment
Nice To Haves
- Welding experience is preferred
Responsibilities
- Operation and maintenance of refrigeration systems

- Performing physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching in all work areas
- Climbing stairs and ladders
- Lifting up to 100 pounds
- Working in cold, damp, or hot and humid environments, with temperatures ranging from 30°F to 105°F
