About The Position

This starter position in the Refrigeration Department performs cleaning and washing of ammonia refrigeration air units and rooftop HVAC/MAU units, changes filters, and cleans roof areas. The employee shadows Refrigeration Technicians to receive training in the ammonia refrigeration system and may be considered for future Refrigeration Technician openings. The role also creates maintenance notifications and work orders and confirms time in the SAP system. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

At least 1 year of maintenance experience within the immediate past 2 years.
Able to work in hot, cold, and wet environments.
Able to push, pull, or lift over 40 pounds and climb ladders above 10 feet.
Able to walk and stand approximately 8.5 hours per day on a concrete floor.
Able and willing to work a six-day schedule, including weekends and holidays as scheduled, with a weekday off.
Willing to rotate shifts as needed and work overtime as needed.
Must pass a Level 4 pulmonary function test and physical, with annual recertification to maintain the position.
Must be clean-shaven to ensure a proper fit when using APR/SCBA equipment.
Must be able to complete Refrigeration and General Maintenance computer-based training.
Rehiring criteria: must not have worked for Tyson more than three times previously and must have completed at least 180 days since the last Tyson employment.
