About The Position

This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the refrigeration systems while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Applicants will be considered for any refrigeration maintenance Tech position open. If an applicant meets the minimum requirements for consideration, they may be contacted for an interview. Internal candidates will be considered first, if none meet requirements we will move forward with qualified external candidates. Certain roles at Tyson require background checks. If you are offered a position that requires a background check you will be provided additional documentation to complete once an offer has been extended. Requirements

  • At least 6 months’ industrial refrigeration experience or be a recent graduate from an accredited school for industrial refrigeration
  • Passing a Level 4 pulmonary function test and physical
  • Being recertified each year to maintain position
  • Being clean shaven to get a proper fit while using SCBA equipment
  • Relevant work experience documented in the work history section of the application or upload a resume with your work history experience
  • Willing to work overtime and weekends
  • Willing to work 6 days a week and 7 if production works on Saturday
  • Willing to work in hot/wet or cold/wet environments
  • Ability to push, pull, or lift over 40 lbs.
  • Ability to climb ladders above 10 feet
  • Ability to stand approximately 8.5 hours/day on concrete floor
