About The Position

Gateway Mechanical is seeking Journeyman & Apprentice Refrigeration Technicians in Manitoba. This role involves a mix of service calls and project installations, requiring technicians to diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial & industrial HVACR systems. The company is the largest HVAC & Refrigeration service provider in Western Canada, offering support and technical expertise to its local crews. Requirements

• Journeyman Cert (or indentured Apprentice)
• 2+ years experience
• Ability to handle on-call rotation without disappearing
• Valid Class 5 license + decent driving record

Nice To Haves

• Supermarket experience
• Gas ticket
• Safety certs (First Aid, WHMIS, CSTS, etc.)
• Fall Protection, AWP, H2S

Responsibilities

• Jump between service calls and project installs
• Fix what’s broken
• Build what’s new
• Figure things out when they don’t make sense
• Diagnose issues
• Repair and maintain commercial & industrial HVACR systems
• Install and retrofit equipment
• Read blueprints
• Keep paperwork organized
• Communicate effectively with customers
