About The Position

On our facilities team, your job will be to create a comfortable and safe environment — just like our patients have come to expect. You’ll gain experience working on a wide range of projects and HVAC systems throughout our facilities, train with the newest technology and receive guidance from fellow caregivers and management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • State of Ohio EPA approved certificate for either Type I and Type II or Universal Refrigerant Systems Service
  • Three years of experience as a commercial/residential air conditioning refrigeration technician. Military experience as a Machinists Mate, Utilities man, Utilities Equipment Repairer or a similar role will be considered
  • Ability to read electric schematic diagrams

Nice To Haves

  • Formal vocational classroom study in refrigeration, air conditioning and/or air handling may substitute up to 1 year of experience
  • Completion of a formal HVAC/Refrigeration training program
  • Work experience in a hospital setting

Responsibilities

  • Regularly inspect, diagnose, repair and perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration/air conditioning systems and other equipment, such as refrigerators, freezers, walk-in coolers, medical and process chillers, cooling equipment, cryogenic freezers and rooftop heating/cooling units.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic controls, solid state microprocessors and system alarms.
  • Repair refrigerant leaks and evacuate and adjust refrigerant charges.
