A caregiver in this position works days, 6:30am—3:30pm with rotational weekends and holiday requirements. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Regularly inspect, diagnose, repair and perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC systems. Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration/air conditioning systems and other equipment, such as refrigerators, freezers, walk-in coolers, medical and process chillers, cooling equipment, cryogenic freezers and rooftop heating/cooling units. Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic controls, solid state microprocessors and system alarms. Repair refrigerant leaks and evacuate and adjust refrigerant charges.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
State of Ohio EPA approved certificate for either Type I and Type II or Universal Refrigerant Systems Service
Three years of experience as a commercial/residential air conditioning refrigeration technician.
Military experience as a Machinists Mate, Utilities man, Utilities Equipment Repairer or a similar role will be considered
Formal vocational classroom study in refrigeration, air conditioning and/or air handling may substitute up to 1 year of experience
Can read electric schematic diagrams

Nice To Haves

Completion of a formal HVAC/Refrigeration training program
Work experience in a hospital setting

Responsibilities
