About The Position
Primarily responsible for hands-on maintenance of HVAC systems and related auxiliary equipment. The position is scheduled Tuesday through Saturday from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience with absorption/freon A/C equipment and steam/related heating systems.
- Strong knowledge and skills in mechanical systems.
- Intermediate knowledge and skills in electrical and plumbing systems.
- Working knowledge and skills in refrigeration cycles, common parts, and pneumatic, electric, and electronic control systems.
- Basic knowledge and skills in brazing, soldering, insulation, measuring, carpentry, and sheet metal.
- Basic knowledge and skills in safety standards and regulations, current CFC regulations, physics, and math.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and nameplates.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- New York City Refrigeration Engineer's license and EPA-CFC Universal certification.
Nice To Haves
- Associate's degree.
- Some college education in engineering and/or a completion certificate from a recognized trade school.
- Familiarity with PC.
