About The Position

ColonialWebb is hiring a Refrigeration Engineer to design refrigeration systems for food distribution centers, cold storage, and food processing facilities. The role develops system flow diagrams, plans, and specifications; performs calculations and analyses to determine facility requirements and select equipment; and provides leadership and oversight during the development of construction layouts, documents, and specifications. ColonialWebb is a full-service MEP contractor serving commercial customers across New Construction, Mechanical Service, Industrial Refrigeration, and Manufacturing.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• Knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, drawings, specifications, building materials, engineering standards, and codes.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to analyze complex engineering problems.

Nice To Haves

• Successful completion of the EIT or PE exam.
• Five years of industrial refrigeration engineering and design experience.

Responsibilities

• Design refrigeration systems for food distribution centers, cold storage, and food processing facilities.
• Develop flow diagrams, plans, and specifications for refrigeration systems.
• Perform heat load calculations to determine facility refrigeration requirements.
• Conduct heat transfer and thermodynamic analysis related to sizing and selecting refrigeration equipment, piping, and control valves.
• Provide leadership, direction, and oversight to others developing construction layouts, documents, and project specifications.
