Refrigeration Construction Pipefitter
About The Position
As a Refrigeration Construction Pipefitter, you will be responsible for performing the installation of supermarket refrigeration systems, which includes electrical work, piping, and fixture handling/installation. This role involves piping cooler boxes, overhead lines, compressor rooms/houses, and refrigeration cases. You will also provide the required installation of pipe hangers as directed by the Foreman, and assist with construction support by brazing, insulating, and hanging piping. A key aspect of this role is championing safety by abiding by all safety protocols and setting an example for others. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 3+ years’ relevant experience in pipefitting of supermarket refrigeration systems.
- Valid state-issued driver’s license.
- Strong working knowledge of plumbing and pipe fitting with the ability to pipe supermarket refrigeration equipment.
- Knowledge of brazing refrigeration piping.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and ability to wire installations.
- Knowledge of and ability to read blueprints on refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing.
- Ability to hang evaporation coils and install overhead hangers.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.

Responsibilities
- Perform the installation of supermarket refrigeration systems including electrical, piping, and fixture handling/installation.
- Pipe cooler boxes, overhead lines, compressor rooms/houses, and refrigeration cases.
- Provide the required installation of pipe hangers as directed by the Foreman.
- Provide construction support by brazing, insulating, and hanging piping.
- Assist the Construction Foreman as needed.
- Be a champion of safety - must abide by all safety protocol and be an example to others when safety is an issue.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
