Refrigeration Construction Apprentice
About The Position
As a Refrigeration Construction Apprentice, you’ll be responsible for learning the installation and renovation of commercial refrigeration systems that are installed in supermarkets, convenience stores, and food service establishments. Work in construction atmosphere, maintain job cleanliness, rough-in insulation. Demonstrate use of power tools, proper completion of timecards, and transportation to job sites. Work on all types of installation of refrigeration equipment with Journeyman or higher lever technician until able to work on this equipment without supervision. Ability to work on roofs, outdoors, mechanical rooms, inside supermarkets, walk in coolers, and freezers through all seasons of the year. Ability to communicate effectively with team members, Journeymen, Supervisors, and Managers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid State Driver's license.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Good mechanical experience and skills.
- Ability to perform the job in a safe manner.
- Ability to use laptop and smart phone.
Nice To Haves
- One year of construction experience.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong work ethic, self-motivated and a professional attitude.
